Features of Our Guide Service

1. You can come empty-handed. We will lend you all the equipment and lifejackets.

2. We accept private reservations. Only your family, friends, or tour companions will be on board so you can relax while enjoying the experience.

3. We will guide you from easy in-shore fishing to full-fledged fishing for large yellowfin tuna.

4. Our fishing methods use lures and sabiki rigs. Depending on the fish you are trying to catch, you can either cast the lure or drop it directly below. Trolling is not done.

5. If you desire it, we can introduce you to a restaurant that will prepare the fish you catch so you can eat it for dinner the same day.

6. On a good day, you can see the World Heritage Site Mt. Fuji in the distance from the sea. The departure point of Sunza Marina is easily accessible: about one and a half hours by car from Chubu Centrair International Airport, one hour by car from Mt. Fuji Shizuoka Airport, and about 10 minutes by car from the Mikkabi Interchange on the Tomei Expressway. Also, the departure point is in Hamamatsu City which is exactly halfway between Osaka/Kyoto and Tokyo, giving it great access to sightseeing spots in Japan and making it very easy to fit into your schedule.

Fishing Course Prices

1. Easy In-Shore Fishing Course

We generally recommend this course. Anyone can enjoy fishing by dropping a lure or sabiki rig and reeling it in.

Target Fish: Aji (Japanese Jack Mackerel), Mackerel, Largehead Hairtail

Time: Approximately 8 hours from departure to return (Can be adjusted to fit customers schedules)

Price: 

1-4 People: 160,000 yen

5-6 People: 200,000 yen

7-8 People: 240,000 yen

9-10 People: 280,000 yen

[Prices include boarding fee, fishing gear rental, and sales tax.]

2. Full Expedition Course

This course is for those with extensive fishing experience. We await challengers from around the world who want to experience authentic lure fishing in Japan and land a big fish. The fishing method is lure casting.

(If we are unable to go out on the expedition due to problems such as strong winds, we will switch to the Easy In-Shore Course.)

1. Target Fish: Mahi-Mahi, Skipjack Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna (Apr. to Oct.)

Time: Approximately 10 hours from departure to return (Can be adjusted to fit customers schedules)

Price:

1-4 People: 220,000 yen

5 People: 240,000 yen

6 People: 260,000 yen

2. Target Fish: Japanese Amberjack, Japanese Spanish Mackerel (Nov. to Jan.)

Time: Approximately 8 hours from departure to return (Can be adjusted to fit customers schedules)

Price:

1-4 People: 180,000 yen

5 People: 200,000 yen

6 People: 220,000 yen

Notes (Please Be Sure to Read Everything)

- A pocket translator is used for communication with the captain.

- Payment must be made in full and in cash prior to departure. Credit cards and other forms of payment are not accepted.

- If you lose a rental rod and reel in ways such as dropping it in the water, we will charge the full cost of replacing it. One rod and reel for the In-Shore Course costs 80,000 yen and 200,000 yen for the Full Expedition Course. We will accept payment when we've returned to port.

- If rental fishing gear is damaged, we will charge the full cost of repairs. Repairing a damaged rod for the In-Shore Course costs 30,000 yen and 60,000 yen for rods used in the Full Expedition Course. We will accept payment when we've returned to port. 

- Please bring clothing for both hot and cold weather and rainwear to protect you from rain or sea spray.

- Depending on the weather and sea conditions we may not be able to take you on your desired course. Also, if the windspeed exceeds 10m/s or wave height exceeds 2m, the departure may be canceled.

- There will be no refunds or discounts if you do not catch any fish.

- If you are prone to seasickness, please get plenty of sleep the night before and take medicine for motion sickness.
